The Fred Astaire

Sure. Watch someone else do it and it looks easy. But wait until you try it. That's the ethos of the Fred Astaire. Light and breezy - strong, but makes it look easy. That's what this drink is all about. 2 whole limes - sliced and muddled into oblivion  Add some sugar. Don't ask how much. You know.  Muddle into oblivion again.  Add gin. Enough of it.  Muddle into oblivion again.  Add ice and shake into oblivion one final time.  Pour over ice and add one of the war-torn limes for good looks.  Enjoy with chess. 

The Lauren Bacall

Lauren Bacall.  If you don't know who she is, spend the next week finding out and then come back. You don't deserve this drink until you know.  2 Parts Gin 2 Parts Rye Whiskey  A cap full of Lemon Juice A Drizzle of Simple Syrup  Lightly stirred over ice and strained into a martini glass. Served without a garnish because Lauren Bacall ain't no bitch.

This is how. 2 Parts Gin 1 Part Tequila  A Dash of Agave NEctar A Splash of Lemon Juice A Bit of Simple Syrup A Slice of Lime Top with Ginger Ale Served on ice in a rocks glass.
